"Tap" segment from The History of Black Dance in America 2015 Juneteenth Celebration show.

Chester Whitmore is a world-renoun tap dancer who studied under such greats as John Bubbles, Willie Covan and Fayard Nicholas (of the Nicholas Brothers).  It should be remembered that Willie Covan was trainer and coach to one of the greatest screen tap dancers in history: Eleanor Powell.  See: Vaudeville old & new: an encyclopedia of variety performances in ..., Volume 1.  By Frank Cullen, Florence Hackman, Donald McNeilly, Page 273.

Chester is one of the last surviving members of the Hoofer's Club formed in the 1970s of which Gregory Hines was also a member.
